Harcombe
Harcombe Dining hall is located in close proximity to Holmes Hall, McCabe Hall, and the Shoeboxes. I reside in Holmes Hall and so I frequent eat at Harcombe because it is so close. When I first came to Clemson I was unsure about how it would be to eat at a dining hall for every meal and how the adjustment from home cooked meals would be. I was expecting the same quality as summer camp food, but I was pleasantly surprised. The food turned out to be edible, and some of it was actually good! The staff working at Harcombe is friendly and is more pleasant than I would be if I had to deal with college students all day. There are 7 food stations in Harcombe which give you a large selection to choose from. There is always the sandwich station, the pizza station, and the hamburger station. There is also a pasta station that has different stuff every day. The other stations have a variety of food everyday and it is a rare occurrence that there is absolutely nothing that you like. Once or twice a month Harcombe has a theme night where there are all kinds of food they don’t normally have. Last time they had New York Style steaks that were excellent. On a scale of 1-10 for overall quality, I would give Harcombe a 7.
